Jon Young

Jon Young is a designer based in Pittsburgh, PA. His passion for typography was sparked while studying Graphic Design at American University. He is a graduate of TypeParis, and in 2022 took over stewardship of the legendary GarageFonts type foundry. Jon is a thoughtful and inquisitive designer who takes a human-centered approach to creating intuitive and compelling work for a diverse range of clients. As proprietor of GarageFonts, he continues the foundry’s mission of providing designers with innovative and expressive tools — developing new typefaces while also reviving overlooked classics for today’s typographic landscape.
