Milton Raposo

Milton Raposo is a Brazilian designer, art director, and type designer based in Northeastern Brazil. His work spans typography, visual identity, motion graphics, interactive design, and iconography, with a strong focus on symbolic communication systems and culturally rooted visual narratives. Over the years, he has collaborated on projects involving music, film, cultural institutions, corporate brands, and public communication, developing visual systems that combine graphic precision with expressive and conceptual approaches. His practice also includes the development of pictograms and accessibility-oriented symbol systems, including the redesign of elderly signage symbols adopted across Brazil. He is the founder and creative director of Pictotipo, an independent type foundry dedicated to iconographic and symbol-based digital fonts.
