Sobre a família

Ray Hebrew is a light-hearted family of display fonts. The typefaces used on digital displays inspired its letterforms. As a font family, it includes five variants, each of which shares the same character width, inter-character spacing, and OpenType features. They are each derived from a strict grid. Ray Hebrew One’s letterforms are comprised of dots overlayed on top of a background grid. The font’s Latin-script capital letters, lining figures, and lowercase ascenders are nine dots tall, with a seven-dot x-height. The descenders have two units worth of space available below the baseline. The Ray Hebrew Two font uses squares instead of dots. These all run into each other but still present a pixelated effect on the texts they set. Those squares are rounded off in Ray Hebrew Three, making this style appear like a combination of the Ray Hebrew One with the Ray Hebrew Two font. Ray Hebrew Four adds bridges to the gaps between the grid units visible in Ray Hebrew Three. These rounded elements from Ray Hebrew Four are re-squared in Ray Hebrew Five, making that font look like a cross between Ray Hebrew Two and Ray Hebrew Four.

Sobre Indian Type Foundry

Founded in 2009, the Indian Type Foundry (ITF) designs and distributes fine-quality, multilingual fonts for both the Indian and global market. ITF specialises in creating and developing both custom and retail fonts. ITF has designed and licensed fonts to some of the world’s most iconic brands including Apple, Google, Samsung, Sony, Amazon and Hyundai to name just a few. Its retail library offers fonts for text and display use, in visual styles ranging from traditional to experimental. ITF currently offers over 200 retail font families across 20 writing systems. ITF’s Kohinoor font family is on permanent display at London’s Design Museum as part of the “Designer Maker User” exhibition, which recognises this work as a historic milestone in the field of graphic design.
