Aukim II Circled is a circular, contemporary variation of Aukim II. It retains the geometric precision and legibility of the original, while enveloping each glyph in a rounded outline or background, resulting in a softer, more playful silhouette. The internal shapes and terminals are softened by more pronounced curves. The x-height is slightly increased to maintain legibility at small sizes, and contrast remains low for a consistent appearance on screen and paper. The family offers several styles with sans-serif alternates, a set of matching icons, and extensive diacritical support. Kerning is optimized to compensate for the visual effect of the circles, and hinting ensures sharpness at low resolutions.
