About the family

The modern sans serif typeface family Aukim II was designed to meet professional requirements for legibility, consistency, and stylistic flexibility. Its neutral yet distinctive design combines geometric and humanist influences to suit both headlines and body text in branding projects, interfaces, and print publications. It offers extensive language coverage: the font supports Latin (basic, additional, extended, advanced, and IPA extensions), Cyrillic (basic, extended, and historic), and Greek (basic). With 2,401 glyphs, it includes numbers, punctuation, diacritics, currency symbols, and stylistic variants necessary for multilingual and specialized projects. The family offers several optical widths (Compressed, Condensed, Narrow, Normal, Wide, and Expanded) allowing the typography to be adapted to layout, space, and visual hierarchy constraints. It is also available in three distinct angles: Normal, Italic, and Slanted, offering designers an expressive palette for prioritizing text, introducing dynamism, or reinforcing visual identity. Typographically, it incorporates 44 OpenType features: contextual and discretionary ligatures, stylistic alternates, swashes, small caps, tabulars, fractions, superscripts/subscripts, case-sensitive forms, localized forms, and professional kerning. These tools offer precise control over rendering and enable neat compositions, whether in print or digital. Technically, the font features careful kerning and optimized hinting for consistent rendering at all sizes. It is designed for multi-platform integration and is suitable for environments that require performance and compatibility. In practice, Aukim II is aimed at design studios, branding agencies, publishers, and product teams. It is ideal for visual identities, multilingual user interfaces, editorial publications, and signage. Its range of widths, three angles, and OpenType features make it a versatile tool for professional projects that require consistency, expressiveness, and technical robustness.
