Elite Gothic AOE brings the unique style of the Smith Corona Elite Gothic Type No. 16 vintage typewriter keyset to the digital age. Antique typewriters have an incredible warmth and appeal to them, primarily because of their unpredictable "grunge" results that were a mix from the force of keystrokes to the wear of the ribbon and paper texture. Elite Gothic has a full caps and smallcaps alternate set accessible by turning on Stylistic Alternates. It also appears when most double letter combinations are typed (swapping the second character for the alternate).
