About SFT Schrifted Serif

Like its older sibling, SFT Schrifted Sans, this font draws inspiration from the visual environment of Stockholm, but with a more romantic touch, predominantly inspired by the districts of Gamla Stan and Södermalm. Graceful historic buildings, bold usage of antiqua in unexpected contexts, and an overall dynamic, lively, organic mood with botanical motifs leave no one indifferent.

Graphics
The font is constructed upon smooth and graceful curves that convey a sense of lively movement. You’ll find numerous rounded closed shapes with endings resembling droplets, which allude to botanical motifs. The structure of the SFT Schrifted Serif letters echoes those of the SFT Schrifted Sans, making them ideal companions.
Family
This typeface consists of three optical sizes. “Text” is for use in small sizes and long passages of text. “Display” is for expressive and large headlines. “Subhead” is a versatile font suitable for both text and small-sized headlines.

Sobre Schrifteria Foundry

Schrifteria was founded by people with years of experience in creating retail and bespoke award-winning typefaces. The idea was to apply all knowledge we gained from multiple client projects, customer research, and a generous amount of feedback combined with personal design experience to make typefaces that will be functional. We create not design for design but design for user experience. We make functional fonts based on users’ needs. We talk openly about font technology. We show how fonts are designed, what they contain, and how best to use them.
