Sobre la familia

Digital404 is a pixel-style typeface family born from the intersection of computer nostalgia and contemporary digital design. The original concept and design were envisioned by Sebastián Alvarado Flamenco, a talented Salvadoran designer, who teamed up with Carlos Candray from Centrotype to meticulously craft and refine the final font. Inspired by error codes, retro operating system user interfaces, and early internet culture, this typeface is built on a precise grid to offer a crisp, technological, and purely digital look.

The family is enhanced by its dynamic Slant variant, which injects an aggressive sense of speed and an intentional system glitch into the rigid pixel structure. While the Regular weight delivers solid stability and exceptional legibility for user interfaces, menus, and subtitling, the Slant version introduces a disruptive motion that shifts the aesthetic from static control to digital chaos.

Designed to shine in high-energy projects, Digital404 is the perfect choice for indie video game development, cyberpunk branding, electronic music posters, and vanguard streetwear design. It brings a raw, low-resolution atmosphere that stands out in titles, headers, and futuristic layouts, offering designers a versatile tool to bridge the gap between 8-bit nostalgia and modern tech aesthetics.
