Existype is an independent type foundry dedicated to creating and publishing typefaces for contemporary visual communication. Our work explores the relationship between form, character, and function, drawing from both contemporary design and the enduring principles of typography. We create typefaces with distinctive personalities while keeping usability, readability, and attention to detail at the heart of the process. From refined serifs and versatile sans serifs to expressive scripts and characterful display faces, each typeface is developed through careful drawing, spacing, testing, and refinement. Our fonts are made to work across a wide range of applications, from branding and editorial design to packaging, digital products, and motion. At Existype, we see type design as an ongoing process of learning, exploring, and making. We are interested in creating typefaces that not only look distinctive, but also become useful tools for designers, brands, and creatives to communicate ideas and build visual identities. Based in Indonesia, Existype is a small independent foundry with a growing library of typefaces, created with curiosity, craftsmanship, and a genuine love for letters.
