Born and raised in Seoul in 2006, I am a designer and Maker deeply engaged in the evolving creative landscape of South Korea. I am currently studying Visual Communication Design at Hongik University. My academic background began in the School of Liberal Arts, providing me with a unique, multidisciplinary foundation that informs my approach to complex visual systems. My design philosophy is defined by an exploration of how external contexts—specifically the structural rhythms of music and the narrative textures of literature—can be woven into visual work. I believe that design reaches its full potential when it functions as a synthesis of cultural archetypes rather than a solitary practice. Consequently, I define myself not merely as a typeface designer, but as a Maker dedicated to forging new “types” of creative expression. In my practice, I find beauty in the tension between sharp geometric lines and organic movement. This aesthetic is profoundly influenced by the "slightly off" nature of characters in the literature of Somerset Maugham, where perfection is found in deliberate deviation. By experimenting with modern graphic forms and replacing traditional curves with rhythmic, sharp-edged segments, I aim to move beyond conventional boundaries. My mission is to build diverse and joyful types of design that offer the world fresh and engaging visual experiences.
