John Nahmias is a seasoned Graphic Designer with over 50 years of experience, now embracing his passion for creating script, gothic, and roman fonts in his semi-retirement. With more than 170 published typefaces, his journey began in 1952 at a New York studio under the mentorship of renowned type designer Lucian Bernhard. After a brief hiatus for military service in 1958, he returned to the fields of advertising and graphic design. His notable works, including the SCRIPTONAH and CASUAL BRUSH fonts, were recognized by Typographica® as "Our Favorite Typefaces of 2007." Currently residing in Mexico, he continues to paint and design from his home studio, blending artistry with typography to create unique and expressive typefaces.
