Sobre la familia

Lerku carries the weight of history in its bones, with the scuffed, workmanlike charm of Morris Fuller Benton’s Bold Antique reimagined for modern grit. Its chunky, weathered forms aren’t trying to be slick—they’re here to add deliberate texture and personality to designs that benefit from a little rough-around-the-edges character.

The irregular outlines and built-in automatic ligatures keep repeated letters from looking identical, giving headlines and titles a more natural, lived-in feel. It works best where impact matters more than polish—think festival posters, protest placards, pulp-style book covers, outdoor event signage, or rugged product packaging. On social media banners or editorial openers, its coarse texture adds an instant shot of authenticity, standing apart from the endless stream of flat, clean type.

With support for a broad range of Latin-based European languages, Lerku is ready to bring its vintage-inspired but unpretentious attitude to projects around the world. It’s not for every design—but when you need bold text that looks like it’s been somewhere and seen things, Lerku is ready.
