I am Pranav Choudhari, an independent type designer, and Obsidian Type Co. is my creative outlet for the dark, the eerie, and the unapologetically macabre. My journey in the creative industry began with a fascination for alternative aesthetics and a frustration with the tools available to express them. While there was no shortage of "creepy" fonts on the market, I frequently found that they lacked the technical refinement required for serious, high-end design work. I shifted my focus to type development to fill that exact gap: merging chaotic, haunting visual themes with strict typographic discipline.
