Shock Value - An Expressionist, Cartoon-ish, Horror Display Font.

Introducing a font that absolutely nobody was waiting for, Shock Value! What started as a misguided experiment with triangular shapes grew into a display font reminiscent of German Expressionist cinema, 90s cartoons, and the inevitable dash of horror.

While its appeal is certainly limited, it might suit projects with an irreverent sense of humour, or something that needs to appear chaotic, unhinged and hand-made. If you needed a font that feels like a cold slap in the face with a fish, you've found it!

I even went to the effort to create all the uppercase and lowercase characters, numerals, multilingual support, and a complete set of alternatives for all five styles - I must be nuts! If I can remain positive for a moment, (like a parent to a child who's just been shown an indecipherable scribble) I'd say that it does look cool used in title designs, when mixing up the sizes and using the angular features to create interesting character combinations. Why not laugh/see for yourself in my visuals! Enjoy!

Acerca de Wing's Art Studio

Christopher King (aka Wingsart Studio) is a Graphic Designer specialising in hand-drawn lettering for film and television titles. From blockbuster films to indie press, Wingsart Studio fonts have appeared on screens big and small around the globe. His work has been used by companies including Disney, Marvel, Apple, Netflix and Paramount Studios. The Wingsart Studio philosophy is to embrace the imperfections inherent with real pens, pencils, paper and brush. In counter-balance to an AI driven age, these fonts remain refreshingly analogue and proud of their human touch. Before a single letter turns into a digital product, countless hours are spent researching and sketching out ideas in pursuit of those perfect lines and shapes.
