Hello, I am Syaqiq Al Kautsar, a graphic and type designer. The founder of Seethistype, an independent type foundry dedicated to developing distinctive typefaces that balance functionality with aesthetic refinement. My journey into typeface design began in 2023, when my older brother, Rizki Agam Fonna, the founder of RCKY Studio, introduced me to the world of typography and the process of typeface creation. What began as a simple curiosity gradually developed into a deep fascination with letterforms their shapes, proportions, structures, rhythm, and character. After returning to typeface design with renewed enthusiasm and a clearer sense of direction in late 2026, I established Seethistype as a small creative space dedicated to exploring ideas through typography. My work is driven by curiosity, experimentation, and attention to detail, with a focus on creating typefaces that balance expressive character with practical usability. Through Seethistype, I seek to explore the possibilities of letterforms while drawing from typographic principles, historical references, and contemporary aesthetics. Each typeface is thoughtfully developed to be not only visually compelling, but also functional, versatile, and made to be used across a variety of design contexts.
