The development of my creations spans 35 years, between typography and Art exhibitions. Most of my fonts are unpublished, but not yet available. Creativity took up a lot of my time. Working as an artist helped me develop my creativity. One of my exhibitions, entitled BEFORE BABEL, features the different alphabets that exist around the world. I first had to memorize them and then write and create, in a spontaneous, gestural manner, a universal calligraphy. This does not necessarily mean universal thinking, because each language has its own way of thinking; it is a utopia, in a way.
The alphabets and pictograms are hand-drawn using different brushes, bamboo sticks, and Chinese ink. The computer is then used to transform the alphabet and pictograms into typography.
My alphabets are a form of expressionism, an artistic genre that expresses itself through the creation of shapes and lines to convey emotions and ideas visually. They are created using ink projections, which are both deliberate and drawn from the unconscious. There is a lot of freedom and also rigor. World events, as well as the different cultures that accompany them, have a great influence on my work.
I have already published two fonts with ITC: a typographic font and a pictogram font. I have also published a font with 2REBELS.
I studied Graphic Design, Illustration, Typography, Painting, and Engraving in ALGERIA, the USSR, BELGIUM, and CANADA.
