Sobre la familia

Stud is a wide, Clarendon-style typeface built for presence. Designed from the ground up, its generous proportions, large slab serifs, and robust letterforms are paired with a stamped letterpress texture that gives each character a tangible, time-worn quality. The result is a typeface that reads clearly while carrying the grit of classic Western print.

Ligatures add variation by automatically substituting certain character pairs, giving headlines and short text a more dynamic, hand-set appearance. In applications where a consistent form is preferred, these substitutions can be disabled by turning off the “standard ligatures” feature.

Stud’s extended Latin character set supports a broad range of European languages, ensuring its rugged style translates across regions and contexts. Technical refinements in recent updates have improved spacing, smoothed curves, and expanded the symbol set for modern use.

For projects that call for typography with unyielding structure and a distinctly Western edge, Stud delivers both authenticity and versatility.
