Nelvi Jannati is a self-taught type designer and the founder of kotatype. A mother of four, she discovered her creative passion through a love of handwriting, lettering, and distinctive letterforms. Her journey into type design is inspired by the simple beauty found in handwritten words and the endless possibilities of typography. She is passionate about transforming those personal, organic qualities into digital typefaces that feel expressive, authentic, and meaningful. Through kotatype, Nelvi continues to learn, experiment, and develop her own voice in the world of digital type design.
