Monotype Global Font Survey Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

SURVEY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

This survey is being conducted to gather Customer’s (“You”, “Your”, “Customer”) thoughts and opinions on their font usage (the “Survey”). All responses will remain anonymized and aggregate data analysis may be used in marketing content related to Monotype’s services and offerings. There will be no further contact (except to notify you that you have won the raffle contest if you have opted into the optional Prize Draw) as a direct result of your participation in this Survey. Participation in this raffle is optional and limited to residents of the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan and Spain where allowed by law. The raffle End Date will be 23:59 EDT Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

1. Please complete the Survey by 23:59 EDT on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

2. The font use information that you give Monotype in this survey will be used in accordance with our Policy on Privacy and Data Protection which can be found at https://www.monotype.com/legal/privacy-policy. 

3. The survey is conducted on behalf of Monotype by Censuswide and in accordance with their Policy on Privacy and Data Protection which can be https://censuswide.com/privacy-and-cookies-policy/. 

4. The survey will be anonymised, and You will only be asked to provide your name and a valid e-mail address in the event you choose to enter the raffle prize draw, the terms and conditions of which are below. If you need to contact us about this survey for any reason, please quote your customer reference number and contact [email protected].  

 

 

RAFFLE PRIZE DRAW (“PRIZE DRAW”) TERMS & CONDITIONS 

 

By completing the Survey, and opting into the optional Prize Draw, You agree to these terms and conditions. This Prize Draw is run by Monotype (with the assistance of Censuswide). The Prize Draw is voluntary and does not require you to purchase anything from Monotype. The Start Date of the Prize Draw will be the date You receive the invitation to complete the Survey and the End Date will be 23:59 EDT Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Participation in this raffle is optional and limited to residents of the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan and Spain where allowed by law. 

 

Entering the Prize Draw 

 

  1. Our prize draw is open to Customers who:  
  • are residents in the UK, USA, Germany, Spain, France, and Japan only;  
  • are aged 18 or over; 
  • have received an invitation to complete the survey and who have in fact completed  the Survey and opted into the Prize Draw. 

 

  1. The following persons and/or entities are ineligible to take part in the Prize Draw:  
  • Monotype employees (worldwide), their immediate family members (parent, sibling, spouse, or child), agencies or any third party professionally associated with this Prize Draw; 
  • any resident of any of the following countries: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria (as U.S. export regulations prohibit the export of goods and services to these countries).  

   3.  The Prize Draw is limited to one entry per invited Survey participant, and is completely free and discretionary.  

 

Winning the Prize Draw  

  1. Monotype will choose 10 (ten) winners at random within thirty (30) day following the End Date.  
  1. The Prize will be an Amazon gift card worth $50 (or its equivalent value in the currency of the jurisdiction you are located, to be calculated based on the applicable exchange rate as at the date the Prize is sent to You by e-mail)(the “Prize”). 
  1. Please note: 
  • The Prize will be awarded to You only, and You shall ensure it is used and/or distributed in accordance with Your company’s policies, if applicable; 
  • You may not exchange Your Prize for cash or any other merchandise or services;  
  • If you’re a winner, we’ll let You know using the e-mail you provided. You must respond to accept your Prize within five (5) working days of receiving notice that you are a winner. You may not designate someone else as the winner (if You are unable or unwilling to accept the Prize, we may award it to an alternate potential winner, or not at all); and  
  • If the Prize notification that we send is returned as undeliverable, or you are otherwise unreachable for any reason, we may award the prize to an alternate winner, or not at all. 
  • If You accept the Prize, we’ll send it to You within thirty (30) days to e-mail address You provided and You will be solely responsible for all applicable taxes related to accepting the Prize; 
  • If a Prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond Monotype’s control, Monotype reserves the right to present any winner with a different prize of equal monetary value.  

 

The small print  

 

  1. Exclusions. Monotype has the right to refuse entry or the prize to anyone who’s breached these terms and conditions. Monotype also reserves the right to end or temporarily close the Prize Draw if we suspect any fraudulent, abusive or suspicious behavior. 

 

  1. Check With Your Employer. If You are entering this prize draw as an employee of a Monotype Customer, it is Your sole responsibility to review and understand Your employer’s policies regarding your eligibility to participate in a Prize Draws of this sort. If You are participating in violation of your employer’s policies, You may be disqualified from entering or receiving a Prize. If You are a government employee, You are responsible for understanding the government gift and ethics rules that are applicable to You and You may not be eligible for the Prize Draw.  We disclaim any and all liability or responsibility for disputes arising between an employee and their employer related to this matter, and Prizes will only be awarded in compliance with the employer’s policies.

  1. Liability. To the extent allowed by law, to release and hold harmless Monotype Imaging Inc., and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, employees and agents, from any and all liability or any injury, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Prize Draw, Your participation in this Prize Draw or any Prize won. Monotype does not accept responsibility for network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of Your entry. Entries must not be sent in through agents or third parties. 

     

Privacy. Monotype Imaging Inc.’s Privacy Policy will apply to this Prize Draw, to any information You submit to us, and to any and all information that we receive from You if you are chosen as a Prize winner. We will use Your contact details to inform you if you have been successful in the Prize Draw. We will not use Your contact details for any other marketing purposes, unless you have consent for us to do so. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely for the purposes of notifying You that You have won a Prize, and sending Your Prize to You. Entrants’ personal data will be handled in accordance with the Monotype’s privacy policy, available at http://www.monotype.com/legal/privacy-policy and if appliable, Censuswide’s Policy on Privacy and Data Protection, which can be found at https://censuswide.com/privacy-and-cookies-policy/.    

 

  1. Governing Law. This Prize Draw will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the Massachusetts courts (state and federal) located in Boston, Massachusetts, USA for any disputes arising out of this Contest.
