About the family

Aeterna Aeon: The Artisan's hand-drawn Antiqua Aeterna Aeon captures the visceral beauty of 16th-century printing. It is an "Inky Garamond" that embraces the organic bleed and weathered edges of metal type pressed into toothy paper. While the structure is rooted in history, the soul of the font lies in its massive collection of swashes and decorative alternates. Three-Width Swash System: Many capital letters feature multiple swash lengths, allowing you to choose the perfect amount of "flourish" for your layout. Intelligent Word-Ornaments: Includes unique, calligraphic underscores for common functional words like and, of, as, and then – perfect for vintage titling and book covers. Discretionary Ligatures: Beyond standard fi and fl, explore historical connections like ct, st, and ffj. Dynamic Decor: Use simple keyboard triggers (like ~A~ or *1) to access elegant start and end flourishes that frame your words in classic Renaissance style. Four Weights: Includes a unique Medium weight, designed to mimic the look of a heavy ink strike, alongside Regular, Bold, and a graceful Italic.
