Angga Monad

I am Angga Monad, a type designer and the founder of Modikstype, a type foundry based in Bandung, Indonesia. I am deeply passionate about type design and driven by a strong dedication to creating typefaces that are both distinctive and highly functional. With a solid background in graphic design, I approach typography with a clear understanding of visual communication and detail. Originally trained as a graphic designer, my growing fascination with letterforms led me to focus more intensely on typeface design. Over the years, I have explored typography through hands-on practice, research, and continuous experimentation, shaping my perspective on how type can define identity, emotion, and clarity in design. My work is centered on creating typefaces that balance clean structure, bold character, and practical usability. I strive to design fonts that not only fulfill technical and functional needs but also bring a strong and memorable visual presence to branding, editorial, and digital projects. Through Modikstype, I continuously explore contemporary design approaches while refining each typeface with precision and care. I am committed to pushing my work forward by experimenting with new ideas, improving craftsmanship, and contributing meaningful type solutions for designers around the world.
