About the family

Autêntica Sans doesn’t try to fit in — it follows its own path. Expressive and full of personality, Autêntica Sans is a typeface with an organic structure and striking contrast. Its strokes subtly narrow and expand across the letterforms, creating rhythm, movement, and visual tension while maintaining clarity. Diagonal cuts introduce a sense of direction and break strict predictability, giving the typeface a distinctive voice and dynamic presence. Designed between 2024 and 2025, Autêntica Sans is the first release in a larger type family that will expand into additional styles, including Serif, Slab, Classic, and Rounded versions. Primarily designed for display use, Autêntica Sans spans weights from Regular to Black, shifting effortlessly between restraint and bold expression. Autêntica Sans isn’t neutral — and it isn’t meant to be. It’s a typeface designed to be seen, recognized, and remembered. The name says it all: Autêntica Sans.

About Sofia Mohr

Sofia Mohr is a Brazilian type designer who explores typography as a living, expressive language. Her typefaces move between structure and spontaneity, combining organic forms, rhythmic contrast, and cultural influences. Born in Brazil and shaped by more than a decade in Chile, Sofia developed a design approach influenced by the intersection of different cultures and visual traditions. This blend often appears in her typefaces, which explore movement, warmth, and personality — at times breaking typographic conventions to develop a voice of their own. Originally trained as an architect, she later specialized in type design, where she found her primary creative focus: designing letterforms that feel alive, expressive, and intended for real-world use. Today she lives in Brazil near the ocean — one of her favorite places. The rhythm of the waves, the energy of cities, the calm of nature, and small everyday moments often find their way into her creative process. Through her work, she aims to create distinctive typefaces — expressive, memorable fonts designed for real-world use by designers everywhere.
