Fermata Fonts

Fermata Fonts is a boutique foundry based in upstate New York in the US, that seeks to create typefaces for a wide variety of textual needs - including poetry, fiction, non-fiction, business, and "white" papers. The foundry's philosophy is inspired by the humanist serif typefaces from the 16th century, characterized by the translation contrast of a handwritten pen stroke and monumental Roman capitals, but modernized for 21st century textual requirements with clean lines, moderated contrast, and a seamless blending of characters and numerals into the text form. The fonts are designed to work across both digital and in-print use cases.
