FontAle

FontAle is a unique foundry dedicated to creating innovative fonts that support dyslexic readers. The name "FontAle" derives from the Italian word "Fontale," meaning origin or source, reflecting our mission to be the starting point for accessible typography. Inspired by a personal experience with my daughter Greta, who struggles with dyslexia, we sought to design a font that simplifies reading. Our flagship font, "GretaDS," features distinct modifications to common mirror letters like "pq" and "bd," as well as the lowercase "rn" and capital "I," ensuring clarity and ease of recognition. At FontAle, we aim to inspire other designers to join us in this journey, enhancing the reading experience for dyslexics and making it as effortless as drinking a glass of water.
