About the family

House of Cards is a vintage-inspired typeface based on Hamilton’s Teniers, one of the most popular wood type fonts of the 19th century.
While the lowercase characters have been slightly modified from the original to create a more natural and contemporary feel, each glyph retains the retro charm and nostalgic essence of classic wood type.

This modern revival includes 2 weights with matching italics, and features sprayed stroke alternates for letters such as F, H, P, U, f, h, m, n, t, u, and w.
These alternates can be accessed via OpenType Stylistic Alternates or Swash features, allowing for expressive and flexible vintage-style typography.

House of Cards is the perfect solution for posters, titles, and any design that calls for bold, nostalgic lettering.
