John Roshell
John “JG” Roshell, Comicraft’s “Mr. Fontastic”, began using a Macintosh in 1988. With Comicraft founder Richard Starkings he pioneered many of the computer techniques that are widely used to letter comic books today. He is also responsible for the creation of the hundreds of typefaces that Comicraft currently use to letter many of America’s best-selling comics, including Spider-Man, Superman and the X-Men. He designs logos, trade paperback/hardcover collections (including the Astro City collections, Daredevil: Visionaries, Danger Girl: The Ultimate Collection, and Spider-Man: Blue), and creates and maintains the Active Images Network of websites.
