About the family

Marker Block is a hand-drawn style typeface inspired by lettering made with technical drawing markers of varying thickness. Designed to feel spontaneous yet controlled, it captures the imperfect, tactile quality of marker-drawn strokes while maintaining clarity and consistency across styles. The font recreates the natural pressure changes and organic edges typical of technical markers, resulting in letterforms that feel authentic, expressive, and alive. This balance between precision and informality makes Marker Block especially suitable for projects that sit between structure and play. The family includes Regular, Medium, and Bold, each paired with its Italic counterpart, allowing designers to shift tone from neutral to expressive while keeping a cohesive hand-drawn identity. Italic styles enhance movement and emphasis, while heavier weights deliver stronger visual impact without losing the casual, marker-drawn feel. Marker Block works particularly well in technical drawings, diagrams, annotations, advertising, packaging, posters, editorial graphics, and branding, as well as in any context where a pop, friendly, and slightly informal touch is needed. It brings warmth and personality to layouts while remaining legible and versatile. Designed to bridge technical clarity and handmade character, Marker Block offers designers a distinctive voice that feels both practical and playful. Until I had to solve a problem that led me to create my first full font with many glyphs, letters and signs. And now here I am.
