About Matchmaker Font Family

Matchmaker, a modern calligraphy typeface, was inspired by the various works of modern day calligraphers. Its tall, quirky, and juxtaposed letterforms provide a deviation from traditional calligraphy-inspired typefaces. Matchmaker features smart contextual alternates and swashes that add to the front and beginnings of letters (using lowercase letters, enter === before the word then +++ after the word to see the feature in action). Also watch as letters on the end of words magically receive a shortened tail. This font works best in OpenType aware software so that you can take advantage of its many tricks and features. Comes as an .otf (OpenType font) file. Here is a great article on open type aware software: http://www.myfonts.com/info/opentype-support-in-applications/ Chocked full of swashes, alternates, and ordinals, Matchmaker just might be the perfect match for your next project.

About Angie Makes

Located in the flatlands of West Texas, Angie Baldelomar started her foundry in 2010 with a desire to create beautiful graphics, fonts and website templates, all with a feminine, girly aesthetic. “Making Fonts is something that I get particularly excited about because I’m always amazed by the creative ways I see folks use them,” she says. Her first font on MyFonts was Canoe; an all caps font perfect for any project that needs a homemade touch. “With Canoe, I was just learning how to produce a quality font and I wanted something super simple that still looked hand-drawn. It was a great font to begin with, and the feedback I received when I made it was super positive, and I still get a smile on my face every time it’s purchased.” The self-taught designer’s hand-drawn designs are simultaneously rustic and elegant: two adjectives that aren’t often used in the same sentence, but when they are, seamlessly describe her whimsical, chic typefaces. Her bestselling fonts include Matchmaker and Hollyhock; a modern and messy calligraphy font composed of wild, tall letterforms. Angie also specializes helping her customers launch their brand with her collection of Cute WordPress Themes, Premade Logos, and Girly Graphics: check out her site to see everything she has to offer! “I have more ideas than time in the day to complete them,” she says. “Expect to see some on-trend goodness in the future.”
