Muhammad Asif Al-Hilmy is a typographic designer and founder of Masif Type, a font studio based in Aceh, Indonesia. His passion for letters and local cultural identity has fueled his interest in typography design for quite some time. His fascination with serif typefaces—both classic and modern—led him to found Masif Type with the vision of combining diverse cultural influences with the high-quality standards required by the contemporary design industry. Under his leadership, Masif Type has grown into one of the most respected foundries on the MyFonts platform, with a growing collection of typefaces spanning various design genres. The name "Masif Type" itself was chosen to represent Muhammad Asif Al-Hilmy's emotional and cultural closeness to his roots.
