About the family

Neobolos is a decorative typeface inspired by the demonic sigils found in magical and demonological texts such as the Ars Goetia and Grimorium Verum.

NO ACTUAL SIGILS ARE USED AS CHARACTERS IN THIS FONT.

Neobolos characters are composed of geometric arrangements of lines, dots, and circles mixed with shapes that are thought to have magic powers, giving them a look, feel, and overall aesthetic reminiscent of ancient sigils used in magical practice. Characters are connected at the midline, so each word creates the impression of being a single complex mystical seal. The font is designed to be stylized but recognizable, and readable with a little practice.

Neobolos is perfect for accessories and illustrations that involve the use of magic, spells, and incantations. It is especially well-designed for RPG events and campaigns where you want people to be able to figure out what the words are saying… but you don’t want to make it too easy for them!
