About the family

Neue Frutiger Thai was drawn by Thai type designer Anuthin Wongsunkakon and Monotype Studio under the direction of Akira Kobayashi. It brings Adrian Frutiger’s legendary sans serif into the Thai script with exceptional clarity and cultural nuance.

Released by Linotype/Monotype, the family is available in 10 weights from Ultra Light to Extra Black in both Traditional (loop terminals) and Modern (loop-less terminals) styles. Neue Frutiger Thai embodies the same warmth and clarity as Adrian Frutiger's original design, while allowing brands to maintain their visual identity and communicate with a consistent tone and voice in the Thai language.

With the increasing adoption of Foreign direct investment (FDI) projects in Thai healthcare, ASEAN luxury resorts, and government digital services like the Thai Smart Visa program, Neue Frutiger Thai versatility and cultural adaptability are in high demand.

Neue Frutiger Thai remains faithful to the visual warmth and neutrality of Frutiger, while serving the contemporary needs of Thailand’s bilingual environments. Whether guiding patients through hospital corridors, informing riders of system maps, or embodying cultural sophistication in tourism branding, Neue Frutiger Thai delivers consistency, trust, and typographic harmony.
