Nugi Maulana Nurzahid is a type designer and the founder of Period Type. His journey in type design began in 2018, driven by a deep interest in letterforms and their role in visual communication.
In 2022, he was part of the Type Design Club in Indonesia, a three-month program that provided a space to refine his approach to typography. Through continuous exploration, Nugi’s work is shaped by structure, rhythm, and the balance between functionality and personality in type.
As the mind behind Period Type, he continues to develop typefaces with a focus on detail, versatility, and a strong design foundation.
