About the family

Onni is a contemporary geometric sans serif designed in Helsinki that balances precision with playful disruption. Built on a foundation of perfect circles and sharp angles, it explores the space where Swiss modernism meets experimental typography. It comes in 9 weights, from hairline thin to bold, each designed to work independently or in dynamic combinations. The typeface features quirky, playful proportions with a distinctive mix of straight-edged rectangles and curved forms that create striking visual contrast. Characters sit at slightly different angles along an inconsistent baseline, giving the typeface a hand-placed, imperfect feel that adds to its contemporary charm. The lowercase "e" features a unique triangular cutout, while the swooping R tail and geometrically constructed numerals add distinctive personality. Designed with comprehensive OpenType features including extended language support, ligatures, stylistic alternates, tabular figures, and a full range of currency symbols and punctuation. This experimental display font combines strict geometry with playful rotation—friendly yet bold, modern yet slightly chaotic. Perfectly suited for youth-oriented branding, tech startups, creative studio identities, editorial design, packaging, and any display use where personality matters more than traditional legibility. Onni delivers geometry with attitude—a typeface that refuses to be ignored.

Brushy types, calligraphic strokes, orginality in faces are their best distinguished characteristic.
