About the family

The decorative typeface PatchLC was originally designed for garment labels, intended for execution via embroidery or appliqué with specific color choices for each internal area of the letterforms. The font includes two character sets: uppercase letters with outlines and lowercase letters with solid fills. The uppercase characters create a continuous decorative surface composed of shapes enclosed by black outlines, whereas the lowercase characters feature a white outline around black shapes. While both sets can be colored in various ways, the font looks striking even in black and white, evoking the retro aesthetic of the 1960s–1980s; it works well for creating decorative word sequences, lines of text, and solid ornamental patterns. Its decorative and expressive qualities make it ideal for logos, calendar designs, sports-related graphics, disco-style visuals, and more. Font supports European Latin and Cyrillic scripts.
