Paula Mastrangelo is an Argentinian designer living in Barcelona. After graduating from Escola d’art i Disseny (EINA) she worked at La Vanguardia, Catalonia’s leading newspaper. Since then she has focused on corporate magazines and became an editorial art director. The past 15 years Paula has designed or managed the media of many of the most important local and international firms operating in Spain. In 2009 and 2010, the International Association of Business Communicators awarded her designs with their “Gold Quill” prize. In 2012 Paula decided to further specialize in typography and completed a post-graduate Master course in type design at EINA. Upon graduation she started to collaborate with Retype, participating in the production process of the calligraphic script Medusa. The Laski Slab type family — her graduation project — has now been released commercially by Retype.
