About Hurufatfont

Hurufatfont, founded by Oğuzhan Cengiz in early 2018, is a boutique foundry based in İstanbul dedicated to creating innovative and "timeless" fonts. In early 2020, the foundry expanded its portfolio to include original designs from Mustafa Eren, a prominent calligrapher in modern-day Turkey, whose work has yet to be digitalized. Hurufatfont is committed to broadening its repertoire with unique font types. Its first creation, Milas (Text and Display 20 Font), was showcased at "MyFonts" in 2018, where it achieved 12th place in the "Hot New Fonts" list. Many subsequent font families from Hurufatfont have also made their mark on this list, with Milas earning the Best Font Design Award from the esteemed GMK (Graphic Designers Association) during its 36th Graphic Design Exhibition. This recognition highlights Hurufatfont's dedication to quality and innovation in the typography industry, serving sectors such as editorial, tech, and retail, and setting itself apart with a signature style that blends tradition with modernity.
