About the family

Rimouski is a rounded geometric sans typeface with a quietly confident personality. Its forms are rooted in clean geometry—circles, straight strokes, and measured proportions—yet softened by carefully rounded edges and subtle refinements. The result is a typeface that projects modern clarity while avoiding the mechanical chill of many geometric designs. Its slightly wide stance gives text a comfortable rhythm and makes it equally at home in airy display settings or dense, information-rich layouts.

Switch on the stylistic alternates, and Rimouski shows its playful side. Angled cuts, unexpected joins, and eccentric details slip into place, giving the design an improvised, almost bespoke feel. These alternates aren’t gimmicks; they’re a way to inject energy and individuality into branding, editorial headlines, or packaging while preserving legibility. The lowercase ‘e’ and ‘a’ in particular hint at vector-like efficiency—truncated as if cut by a precise beam—adding a sense of engineered flair without feeling cold.

With five weights, italics, and broad Latin language support, Rimouski is a versatile tool for both straightforward communication and expressive visual storytelling. Thin weights maintain poise in delicate layouts; heavy weights bring approachable strength without turning clumsy. Whether used for wayfinding systems that need instant legibility, a café menu that wants personality, or a tech brand seeking balance between friendliness and precision, Rimouski adapts. It’s a typeface that can speak in a refined corporate tone or break into a charming grin—sometimes within the same project.
