About the family

Sanildefont is an urban display typeface inspired by the 1960s ceramic street nameplates of the San Ildefonso neighborhood in Cornellà (Barcelona). Its design translates the bold presence and handcrafted technique of that era’s graphic style into a digital format.

Conceived for impactful headline typography with strong local roots, it balances traditional signwriting strength with flawless technical execution. It is ideal for brand identity, poster design, packaging, signage, and editorial work seeking to connect with urban memory.

Its character set offers comprehensive Latin Extended coverage, ensuring smooth multilingual support for over 80 languages. It also includes a wide array of OpenType features and special glyphs—featuring well-proportioned numerals, fractions, currency symbols, an exhaustive punctuation system, extended diacritics, and ligatures.

Sanildefont is both a piece of urban visual history and a contemporary digital typeface that restores local graphic heritage, making it available for branding, posters, editorial headlines, packaging, and signage.

About Dani Senso

Everyday life inspires us: the signs of local shops, street nameplates, the book you're reading, or even a flyer in your mailbox. From the fascination with these everyday graphics comes the drive to give them a broader, more coherent, and systematic meaning through typography, transforming them into practical and functional tools for any user or designer.Ultimately, at Dani Senso, I aim to highlight the visual details that surround us and, through type design, turn them into accessible digital files for everyone.
