About the family

Wround is a true all-rounder as not only does it excel in both text and display settings, it’s also perfectly (optically) round and deliciously soft within each and every glyph. With three distinctive stylistic sets, Wround aims to be the most versatile and complete rounded typeface available. This typeface makes for a very comfortable reading experience, making it perfect for body text but Wround is also a branding designer’s dream. It can expertly handle logotype, headlines and titling. Impactful and charismatic in its standard form, Wround allows you to express other voices when you activate its stylistic sets. With three distinctive styles to choose from, you’ll have imposing headlines, masterful logos, and striking book and movie titles developed in no time at all. Stylistic Set 1 – Stencil. This is a fairly straightforward stencil style that has carefully-chosen cuts right through numerous characters. Stylistic Set 2 – Wrounder. The alternates in this set embody an even more rounded aesthetic. Some spurs are removed while other glyphs are forced to adhere to circular construction, resulting in some quite unusual designs. Stylistic Set 3 – Notched. A slight cut into the body creates the illusion of a third dimension as each vertical casts a shadow on to the horizontal of each glyph. There are 20 fonts in this family, ranging from Hairline to Black in both roman and italic styles. Wround has an extensive character set that covers all Latin European and Cyrillic languages. About Paulo Goode

As a child I was fascinated by the multitude of letterforms that surround us, I would spend hours drawing words (and cars) in my sketchbooks. I don’t know what happened to those sketches, but I certainly never made it as an automobile designer! Maybe there’s a chance my fonts will prove more successful? As I grew up, I developed my artistic skills and became a technical illustrator and moved into graphic design with the advent of the Macintosh computer. At the age of 45 I rekindled my interest in typeface design and am thoroughly enjoying the process of font creation and producing some interesting typefaces of distinction. I'm still fascinated by the multitude of letterforms that surround us — and am very happy to be contributing my own.The Premium foundry page can be viewed Here.
