About the family
Suchow was developed from a hand lettered storybook title by Willy Pogany.
It's designed to give the feel of the Far East, with character shapes reminiscent of oriental brush lettering. The look of the characters is typical of lettering often used around the turn of the century for oriental-themed advertising and decoration, but not seen very often in contemporary use.
The full version includes an expanded character set.
