About the family

It started with a scammer. One of those “too-good-to-be-true” internet hustlers got tricked into making a hand-cut stencil sign—and then, unknowingly, kept making more. By the time the dust settled, there were enough letters to piece together most of an alphabet. We traced them, filled in the gaps, and Dirtstorm was born.

Dirtstorm isn’t just another spray-painted stencil font. Every letter bears the marks of its handmade origin: uneven cuts, tattered edges, and spray patterns that look like they’ve been blasted through a sheet of cardboard on a windy day. Automatic ligatures and alternates break the monotony, so words don’t just look set—they look sprayed, one by one, for real.

It’s legible, but never polite. Perfect for protest banners, underground zines, streetwear branding, festival posters, dystopian book covers, or anything that needs to look like it came straight off a wall at 3 a.m. Dirtstorm thrives over photographs, bright color blocks, or gritty textures; it’s bold enough to cut through noise without losing its authenticity.

From scammer mistake to streetwise typeface, Dirtstorm carries a little chaos in every letter. Put it to work, and your message won’t just be seen—it’ll hit like fresh paint and linger like the smell of aerosol in the air.
