About the family

Minicomputer is where 1960s retro-futurism swaps its lab coat for a mod minidress. Inspired by MICR E-13B magnetic ink characters—the kind once printed at the bottom of bank checks—it blends mid-century tech precision with the bold spirit of Swinging London. This is a display typeface that remembers its roots in early computing, yet struts confidently into the world of fashion, music, and cultural cool.

Available in seven weights plus italics, Minicomputer moves from feather-light Thin to the commanding heft of Black without losing its distinctive geometric rhythm. Its crisp, squared forms and unique number shapes give a nod to vintage bank machine readouts, while the full alphabet treatment brings new versatility to a style once limited to numerals and codes.

Features include old-style numerals, fractions, ordinals, and a complete set of mathematical symbols—ready for everything from editorial infographics to sci-fi poster art. Language support spans Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, and Vietnamese, making it a global player whether you’re designing a Helsinki fashion catalogue, a Tokyo pop-culture zine, or a retro-tech brand identity.

Visually, Minicomputer thrives in the overlap between circuitry and catwalk. Its crisp angles and distinctive counters evoke control panels and punched-card machines, yet its proportions and flow make it feel at home on boutique signage or record sleeves. Use it to channel late-60s optimism, weave in a dash of mod attitude, or give your project that elusive mix of technical edge and stylish charm.

Minicomputer is a reclamation of a genre, reminding us that even the most functional letterforms can have a flair for the dramatic.
