About the family

Synthemesc is bold, curvy, and unapologetically weird—a letterform style that slips easily between psychedelic poster art, groovy packaging, and off-kilter editorial headlines.

The design began as a loose interpretation of the hand-cut lettering seen on the walls of the Korova Milk Bar in A Clockwork Orange. Rather than tracing the rough jigsaw shapes, the forms were redrawn with smoother curves and a more consistent rhythm, making them easier to use while keeping that warped, organic charm. Its chunky strokes and flowing counters evoke 1970s bubble lettering, yet there’s an edge that pushes it toward the surreal. Whether you’re channeling retro album art, crafting a punchy book cover, or giving a product label a playful twist, Synthemesc delivers instant personality.

Bring a dose of warped whimsy to your next project with Synthemesc—a typeface that’s as adaptable as it is unmistakable.
