Founded in 1994, ingoFonts provides the fonts designed and crafted by me, Ingo Zimmermann. I am a type design professional located in Augsburg, Germany, and working in corporate and editorial design. My very first fonts were stencils which I cut out of paperboard and used in graffiti. During my studies, I began to publish my fonts under the label ingoFonts, and of all font types it started with a black letter: ”Faber Fraktur.“ By now my designs include fonts of all styles, from classical to modern, script fonts, revivals of historic typefaces, Romans, sans serifs, and decorative fonts, including fonts like ”Biró Script“, ”Absolut“ or ”Maier’s Nr.8“, which seem to be growing quite popular since they’ve been published.

The FDI Type Foundry is a German-type foundry and was founded in 2004. It is part of the typography network Schriftkontor Ralf Herrmann. The foundry offers both contemporary designs as well as high-quality revivals of German letterpress fonts. The foundry is run by Ralf Herrmann, who studied graphic design at the Bauhaus-University Weimar and runs various online typography projects such as Typography.guru, Typografie.info, and the Letter Library.

Floodfonts is an independent type foundry based in Cologne, Germany and was founded in the year 2000 by Felix Braden. The foundry specializes in highly legible contemporary typefaces that work well in both digital and print environments, but still have a high recognition value. That’s why they focus on fonts for corporate design, packaging, and advertising. Felix was one of the winners of Communication Arts’ Typography Annual with his FF Scuba typeface and was nominated for the German Design Award.

Wolfram Pleger (aka PleasureFonts) is based in Dusseldorf, Germany. He studied Visual Communication at the Hochschule Dusseldorf. After graduation he worked at an packaging design agency. Viktor is a type-designer not only living and working but also born and raised in Berlin, a former divided city and now rumbling type-design hotspot. His interest in letters started with little doodles on the exercise books, to occasional graffiti actions, and made it step by step to a professional type design occupation. Spirit & Bones is a German foundry based in Hamburg, founded in 2021 by artist and type designer Lena Schmidt. Lena Schmidt was born 1981 in Bremen. She is a german painter and type designer. From 2003 to 2011 she studied Fine Arts in Hamburg with professor Matt Mullican. From 2015 to 2019 she studied graphic design with a focus on type design at HAW Hamburg Department Design with the well known type designer and calligrapher Jovica Veljović. With the founding of Spirit & Bones, Lena Schmidt laid the foundation for a deeper and long-term engagement with the fascinating world of type design.

Peter Huschka is a German designer living and working in Frankfurt am Main. After years in the creative departments of Leo Burnett and Saatchi & Saatchi as an art director and creative director he’s now working freelance. Since the nineties his fonts »Sinah«, »Sinah Sans«, »Chineze« and »Picture Yourself« found their way into the Linotype Library. »Picture Yourself« was designed in collaboration with Karin Huschka and has won a 1st prize in the 2003 International Type Design Contest, sponsored by Linotype.

Tickbite Type is a type foundry at the larval stage. Whatever it’ll be once it pupates, it’ll start with C. Like the primary designer, the foundry is a mix of carbon and ink, ideas and experiments, and way too much liquorice. The foundry is run by evolutionary biologist Dr. Nils Cordes and challenged daily by his young son (whose favorite letter is the lower-case g) and daughter (who doesn’t have a favorite letter – yet).
