Please be sure to review the listing foundry's Desktop license agreement as some restrictions may apply—such as use in logos/trademarks, geographic restrictions (number of locations), and products that will be sold.

Adding users later:

Desktop licenses are cumulative. If you require a Desktop license that covers additional users, simply place a new order for the same Desktop package, for the number of additional users.

Company Desktop

Choose a Company Desktop license when fonts need to live where your team actually works: on employee workstations, inside design tools, office apps, brand workflows, and day to day creative workflows. Built for collaborative teams, busier workflows, and brands that need their type to move confidently across the company.

This license allows your employees to create, edit, view, print, and distribute materials, provided the font software itself is not embedded in those assets. It is a good fit for in-house brand projects, presentations, packaging layouts, static graphics, marketing materials, and other company-created assets.

Company Desktop also supports practical document collaboration. Licensed users may create and share non-commercial, non-editable PDFs with embedded fonts. The Company Desktop license is also tiered based on company size, enabling your employees to use fonts collaboratively and in internal DAMs. Commercial eBooks, eMagazines, or other paid electronic documents require a separate Commercial Electronic Document license.

This license is based on your number of employees. You are required to purchase a license tier sufficient to cover your entire organization size and those users must be your employees. You cannot exchange users within the licensing period (non-concurrent).

Webfonts: for your website

Webfonts allow you to embed the font into a webpage using the @font-face rule, so paragraphs and headings of text can be styled as the webfont. You will be serving the webfont kit for your own site and linking it in the CSS.

Webfonts can be used on a single domain. Agencies responsible for multiple websites, for example web design agencies or hosting providers, may not share a single webfont license across multiple websites.

If the font file itself won't be embedded in the website (for example, when the font is used in a static graphic image such as a logo) you should purchase a Desktop license instead.

App: for embedding in mobile applications

Select this license type when you are developing an app for iOS, Android, or Windows Phone, and you will be embedding the font file in your mobile application's code.

Electronic Doc: for embedding in e-text products

You can use an Electronic Doc license to embed the font in an electronic publication such as an eBook, eMagazine, or eNewspaper.

An Electronic Doc license is based on the number of publications in which the font is used. Each issue counts as a separate publication. Regional or format variations don't count as separate publications.

Updated versions of publications that are free to previous customers do not need a new license; otherwise, each new version that is released counts as a separate publication.

For font usage in graphic images shown as the ePub cover, consider a Desktop license instead as most allow for it.

Digital Ad/Email: for use in HTML5 ads

You can use this type of license to embed fonts into digital ads, such as ads built using HTML5.

We'll supply a kit containing webfonts that can be used within digital ads, such as banner ads. This kit may be shared with third parties who are working on your behalf to produce the ad creatives, however you are wholly responsible for it.

HTML5 ads use webfonts, so why purchase a Digital Ads license rather than a Webfont license?

There are a few reasons, such as the Digital Ads EULA having terms that enable usage in digital ads and on advertising networks.

Digital advertisements also have different usage patterns compared to websites. Most websites generally have consistent pageviews month-to-month whereas advertising impressions can vary wildly month-to-month. Prices reflect this, making it much less expensive to use a Digital Ad license.

If you know the number of impressions the campaign requires, that amount can be ordered before the campaign begins. For campaigns where number impressions is unknown until the end of the campaign, you can true up at the end of each calendar month.

About the family

Decorative lettering often creates a system problem. One ornate display face can make a memorable product name, but the moment the job needs a narrow label, a lighter secondary heading, a menu section or another level of emphasis, the designer has to start mixing unrelated fonts. Caldstone takes a different approach: curls, spurs and eccentric details are carried through a large sans-serif family rather than confined to a single novelty style.

Its character draws on the late-1960s revival of earlier decorative lettering, when Edwardian forms were rediscovered and exaggerated through psychedelic graphics. The result can feel antique and pop at the same time. Unusual terminals and ornamental interruptions sit on a recognizably sans-serif framework, giving Caldstone plenty of personality without locking the designer into one period costume.

Food and drink are natural territory. Confectionery, ice cream, specialty chocolate, preserves, aperitifs, cocktail mixers, bakery products and colorful pantry goods can use Caldstone for product names, flavor lines, seasonal editions and promotional graphics. Its ornament suggests pleasure and abundance without drifting into formal luxury or rustic heritage clichés.

Restaurants and hospitality give the family even more room to work. Cocktail bars, neighborhood wine bars, retro cafés, bakeries, boutique hotels and destination restaurants need typography for venue names, menus, wine lists, room cards, event graphics and window lettering. Expanded styles can establish a broad name over the door; Condensed styles fit narrow drinks columns and vertical signs; lighter weights handle menu headings and short supporting copy.

Cosmetics and personal-care products open another strong territory. Fragrance collections, soaps, bath products, skincare ranges and boutique beauty brands often need warmth and ornament without the severity of conventional luxury typography. Caldstone can move from a prominent product name to scent names, categories, gift sets and seasonal campaigns while keeping the same decorative vocabulary intact.

Fashion can use the family with a more graphic emphasis. Patterned clothing, resort wear, eyewear, accessories and vintage-inspired boutiques suit Caldstone’s combination of old decorative gestures and late-1960s exuberance. Condensed styles fit garment tags and narrow layouts; Expanded styles can turn a short collection name into a broad piece of display typography.

Caldstone spans three widths and eleven weights from Hairline to Black, each with a matching italic. That range changes the character of the ornament as much as the darkness: Hairline Expanded can feel airy and delicate, while heavier Condensed styles become compact and emphatic without losing the same curls, spurs and irregular details.

Caldstone is useful when decoration has to survive beyond the hero word. It can name the perfume, distinguish the scent, headline the menu, label the chocolate box, mark the hotel room card and fill the shop window while keeping one eccentric visual language intact.
