About the family

Linefeed takes the rigid order of classic band-printer type and softens it with a humanist touch. Its tall x-height, open shapes, and subtle stroke contrast give it a warmth and approachability that vintage monospace fonts never had. The result is a face that reads crisply at small sizes yet carries personality at display scale.

The monospaced discipline makes it ideal for layouts that need perfect column alignment, while its friendly curves keep it from feeling cold or mechanical. It works as confidently in modern UI design, branding for heritage-inspired products, or exhibition signage as it does in nostalgic digital art.

Inspired by the typography of mid-century data output devices, Linefeed recalls a time when machines left their mark in ink and paper—yet it’s engineered for the screens and print workflows of today. It’s retro without being stuck in the past.
