About the family

Mokoro Sermon is a heavy gothic blackletter — modern in weight, medieval in temperament.

Thick vertical strokes with sharp diagonal terminals, deep ink-traps in the bowls, and a slight inward lean that lends every word a stand-up-straight authority. The lowercase reads cleanly at large sizes and stays legible down to body copy. Capitals are dramatic — drawn for chapter openers, tattoo banners, and album spines.

Picture it stamped into the lid of an aged amber-glass beer bottle, or pulled in red ink across a parchment funeral broadside.

The font is built with advanced functionality and guaranteed top-notch quality, containing stylistic and contextual alternates, ligatures and more automatic and manual features; all to give you full control and customizability.

It has extensive lingual support, covering all Latin-based languages, from North Europa to South Africa, from America to South-East Asia. It contains all characters and symbols you'll ever need, including all punctuation and numbers.
