About the family

Pupcat is a narrow, hand-drawn display family with roots in mid-century movie-poster lettering. Its tall proportions and slightly eccentric forms can feel playful, stylish, or theatrical without becoming cartoonish, making it especially useful for designs that need a distinctive display voice across more than one piece of communication.

Patisseries and confectionery brands are a particularly good fit. Macaron boxes, petit-four assortments, canelé sleeves, bonbon collections, seasonal pastry sets, flavor cards, shopping bags, and counter signs can all use Pupcat without crowding small packages. Names such as Raspberry Rose, Almond Praline, or Salted Caramel benefit from its narrow proportions and decorative rhythm.

The same character suits repertory cinema and film-festival campaigns, where film titles, screening themes, actor names, quotations, posters, programs, venue graphics, and merchandise need to share a recognizable visual language. Boutique hotels, pool clubs, cocktail lounges, and restored mid-century resorts offer another natural setting for menus, event graphics, postcards, room promotions, and poolside signage.

Pupcat also works well across highly art-directed product ranges such as cocktail mixers, confectionery, candles, cosmetics, and specialty gift collections. Its strength lies in carrying a recognizable display identity through packaging, campaigns, hospitality, and entertainment without demanding much horizontal space.
