ULGA Type
ULGA Type is a small type foundry run by Michael Gills and based near Norfolk in the East of England. I design predominantly display fonts sprinkled with the occasional multi-weight typeface family (when time permits). ¶ My typeface families and fonts are generally characterised by designs that are well-crafted with extensive European language support. Especially for my display fonts, I like to inject versatility and fun into the designs, adding lots of alternatives, ligatures and symbols, topped off by a pinch of quirkiness. ¶ Alongside type design, my range of work encompasses monogram & logo designs, custom font designs, hand lettering and a bit of calligraphy.
