About the family

Walnut is a spray-painted display typeface with a knack for playful mischief. Its rounded, slightly puffed letterforms keep things friendly, while the scuffed edges and grainy texture add just enough grit to keep it from feeling polished. Every curve carries the imperfections of real spray paint on a rough surface—irregular counters, uneven strokes, and a tactile finish that looks as if it’s been blasted into place.

It’s a style that works anywhere personality matters: snack packaging that needs to pop, event posters with a wink of irreverence, bold headlines in indie publications, or branding for products that don’t take themselves too seriously. The automatic ligatures swap out repeating letters to keep the flow feeling naturally hand-done, as if you sprayed it fresh each time.

Walnut doesn’t shout rebellion; it just grins, grabs the can, and gets to work—messy enough to stand out, but warm enough to invite people in.
